Using Surveys at My Seminars

Dear fellow organizers,

I recently did some serious education on using surveys to grow my professional organizing business. This blog will be the first of a series on "Using Surveys" in your own professional organizing business.

I learned this is a VALUABLE tool that is greatly overlooked. It is definitely a component I am weaving into my business and marketing plan.

I used a survey for the first time at a seminar I presented to a room of 23 real estate professionals. I was asked by the branch manager to present tips and strategies on time and email management. At the end of my 1 hour presentation, I asked the participants to complete a short evaluation form . Note I used the work 'evaluation' rather than 'survey'. I think the word survey turns some folks off.

In any case, I gained some valuable feedback. Most importantly, based on the results, I learned that 94% were satisfied with the seminar I presented.

With this factual statistic, I have a new marketing feature to use. On my seminar webpage, I can dump the statistic. I can use it when networking, I can use it in direct mailings to seminar prospects. Who would not want a speaker and a presentation that has a track history of 94% satisfaction?
